L. Stewart has made no mistak-i n campaigning for the affair, or i n the selection of " S t r a w b e r r y R. <] W a l l to manage i t . E n t h u s i a sm for the Stampede i - g r o w i n g steadily, and as the advert i s i n g m a t t e r pours out up and down ; the Valley and over i n t o the States. V e r n o n w i l l get more a d v e r t i s i n g of a desirable character than has been secured for many years. The Jockey Club has undertaken the fixing of the fences, the repa: t o the grand stand and the p u t t i ng of the t r a c k i n t o shape for i h e pifo-g r am of horse races, w h i c h w i l l att r a c t a l a r g e number of persons w ho l i k e to watch the ponies. Vernon had what was declared to be t| fastest h a l f - m i l e t r a c k in the int e r i o r of the Province. This w i l l | ' b e put i n as good shape as ever >>• f o r e , and the race p r o g r am w i l l hav-an old time flavor. Orders have been placed for some of the timber for tfie b u i l d i n g of the stockade, and when it is <>u g r o u n d the pens and chutes w i l l »>•• so constructed as to permit of the e n t r y of horses and riders to the arena as fast as the spectators des i r e .
